The 22nd edition of the Bahrain International Music Festival will take place from Sunday until October 25.
Organised annually by the Ministry of Culture, this year’s theme highlights musical innovators from a wide range of genres and cultures.

The line-up features award-winning artists from Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Cuba, Germany, Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic who have created their own musical style in genres such as opera, Latin, Arabic, Azerbaijani and classical music.

The festival will be inaugurated by Lebanese soprano Samar Salamé’s Crazy Opera, offering a fusion of classical opera arias and Arabic beats. The second night features the Klazz Brothers and Cuba Percussion. Taking the stage on the third night will be the Palestine National Ensemble of Arabic Music.

The following night Alim Qasimov and his daughter Fargana will perform traditional Azerbaijani spiritual music called Mugham.

The Prague Chamber Orchestra will perform on the fifth night and Syrian-Armenian trailblazer Lena Chamamyan will close the festival.
