Gulf Weekly It’s time for a great deal

I Will have to remember to put more money aside for this time of year because there are always massive year-end sales with retail outlets reducing prices until their stock is cleared.

I have to listen to that tiny voice and hide an envelope full of cash in a drawer that reads ‘don’t open until January 2015’. I need to pump up my purchasing prowess.

I got word about the Lifestyle Jewellery sale and wanted to make sure readers don’t miss out. Right now it is offering up to 70 per cent off on all diamond jewellery until January 29. I was witness to a really classy Skagen watch selling for only BD55. If you need a formal timepiece this could make a great choice.

Lifestyle Jewellery, since 1997, has been specialising in fine diamond sets and watches. They carry brands like Coronet Solitaire, Carl Faberge, La Posy and Flotilla.

Swayta Toolsidass, who comes from an illustrious family of erstwhile jewellers, said: “Bahrain is a great melting pot for various cultures and has a strong presence in the jewellery industry since the pearl trade that started in the 1930s.

“Whether it’s the traditional selections for special occasions, engagements and weddings or the more modern contemporary pieces, you will find them here in Bahrain. There are some women that will allocate a special budget just for a fine jewellery collection.”

It seems like a good time to pick out these pieces while jewellers are holding their sales.

Swayta, recently launched her business during the prestigious Jewelery Arabia 2013 and found it a great success. Fashionistas, you will be seeing more of her soon, so stay tuned.

For a store that originally just sold trousers, Pimkie has come a long way. Back in 1971 three talented men from the textile industry in France caught wind of the upcoming trend of women wearing trousers. They were not going to be the only ones wearing the ‘pants’ in the family because women were sick of just wearing skirts and dresses.

The brand’s success led to a quick expansion of the clothing range in order to cater to all women’s apparel needs.

Pimkie targets young women in the ages of 15 to 25 with a very fun, feminine and funky style. Right now there is a 60 per cent off sale. There is a great deal on selected trousers and T-shirts for BD1.900.

My deal of the week was found inside H&M. The store has dresses and other items for only BD2. There are long racks of items at discount prices.

Did you know that 160 in-house designers and 100 pattern makers create H&M collections? Impressive and no wonder they have such great selections.

If you already thought their clothing was affordable, check out this sale before it ends on January 25.

Other deals I’m privy to:
Massimo Dutti will offer up to 70 per cent off tomorrow.
Piazza Italia will offer up to 70 per cent off tomorrow.
Oysho will offer up to 70 per cent off tomorrow.
Bershka will offer up to 80 per cent off tomorrow.
