Volvo revealed its new 2014 model range during a special event held at the Royal Golf Club.
The launch, by Motorcity, also included an announcement about the opening of a new Volvo showroom in Sitra in February.
The latest XC60, S60 and V40 models were on display and Volvo is hoping the fresh look will lure in buyers and revamp the Scandinavian brand’s image.
The XC60 boasts a new bonnet with a big, U-shaped furrow running from the A-pillars down over the new grille. It is available with 2.0-litre Turbo 240bhp or 3.0-litre Turbo 304bhp engine. It’s a cleaner, sleeker design is helped by the fact that the washer jets have now been hidden away.
Meanwhile the automaker has refreshed its svelte S60 sedan for 2014 with crisp styling, new features, and more technology. It is also available with a 2.0-litre Turbo 240bhp or 3.0-litre Turbo 304bhp engine.
The Volvo V40 boasts clean, elegant lines and features a range of class-leading systems. It is available with a 2-litre 213bhp engine.
Safety features include City safety – a collision avoidance safety feature, pedestrian detection with full auto brakes, Blind spot information system, Intelligent Driver information system, Dynamic Stability & Traction Control,Volvo Safety cage with SIPS, Roll over protection system.
