Porsche Centre Bahrain, a division of Behbehani Brothers, opened its revamped showroom in Sitra in style and also unveiled the fifth generation Porsche 911 GT3.
Following six months of major modification, the showroom was reopened during a celebratory event, inaugurated by Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain International Circuit.
The showroom’s size has increased by almost 60 per cent from 700 to 1,100sq/m and it now boasts a state-of-the-art layout featuring a specially designed mezzanine floor. The showroom can now house up to 19 vehicles and is the first double-floor dealership in the country.
The mezzanine floor will be used exclusively to showcase the brand’s racing heritage with the 911 GT3, 911 Turbo S and Porsche Classic Car Corner.
The new showroom also boasts a private fitting lounge and car configurator, in addition to a dedicated Porsche Drivers Selection with the latest in Porsche clothing and accessories.
Morgan Sunderland, brand manager of Porsche Centre Bahrain, said: “The redeveloped showroom is a part of our long term vision to continue to grow and to maintain the high level of customer satisfaction that Porsche is renowned for. This reopening marks the start of what is sure to be a significant year for us as we welcome several new models, such as the all-new Macan.”
In celebration of Porsche’s racing history, the new 911 GT3 made its national debut at the event. It sports a new body along with chassis refreshers and pioneering Porsche rear wheel steering.
It now boasts an entirely new engine delivering 475bhp, and accelerates 0-100kmph in just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 315kmph.
