Although it may not seem like it; I believe social media is one of the greatest inventions ever to be bestowed upon humanity. It’s the many ways that some human beings abuse it that fuels my venom.

Yet, recently social media has thrown out a hilariously brilliant new concoction in the form of Rent-A-Rebound. This service is perfect after a messy breakup if you’re feeling petty and pathetic and have $500 to spare.

So what shall they do for you for that sum? Well, they shall flood your Facebook timeline, your Twitter feed and your Instagram with photos and messages from a fake new partner.
 
However, there is even more that they can do to inspire jealousy from your ex-partner. They will check you in online to the most exclusive restaurants, you shall receive messages and tweets from co-workers and friends all raving about this ‘new’ partner. If you wish to go the extra mile you can even send them photos of yourself to Photoshop this new impossibly good looking partner into.

This service was set up earlier this month and I believe it illustrates how beautifully and hilariously powerful human jealousy and pettiness really is.
