Eccentric and bold screams Moschino, thanks to the late Franco Moschino. Starting in 1983 his creative, high-end fashion designs set him apart from others and inspired a fun and youthful history.
While in Al Ali Mall visiting Moschino I ran into a wonderful lady named Hala who was perusing through the store looking for the trendy red quilted leather handbag embellished with the ‘Big M’ which in this case stands for Moschino … not McDonald’s.
Easy mistake to make! For those who missed it, in Milan last autumn the label had a model carrying one of the bags on a tray wearing a uniform-style dress; ode to the ‘Happy Meal’ box. Can I take your order please?
Right now the store is running 70 per cent off some of the brand’s past collections which inspired Hala to try on two pairs of classic black trousers too. She said: “I love the cut, fit, price and quality of Moschino. I already have this black dress and now it’s down to BD93.600 from BD312. I come here to purchase timeless pieces.”
For iPhone case fashionistas the store has Moschino-branded gold chain cases for only BD51.500 which look amazing alongside causal or evening wear.
Fatima Buhassan, marketing and public relations manager for Remza Investments Company bought one herself. I was green admiring her throw it over her shoulder flashing the iconic Moschino logo against her already cool outfit. When they make one for my Samsung I will be the first in line!
The sales staff in-store said that they find a lot of women shopping for dresses and accessories for events and parties. Leather belts fixed with their logo in gold metal are very popular. Women will just cinch their waste with these beauties for a sassy chic look.
