Gulf Weekly Write to the editor

I saw an article by The Whisperer in GulfWeekly in last week’s issue referring the lease running out for badminton players at a local school. We are interested in starting to offer badminton in our indoor sports hall. We may not be able to accommodate all of their needs, but we could try.

The Bahrain Federation of Expatriate Associations (BFEA) is pleased to announce the second international leg of ‘THIS IS BAHRAIN’ will take place in Berlin on October 1.

This time we will have many more participants travelling with us due to the overwhelming demand of organisations and individuals who wish to participate.

We are looking forward to visiting the historic city in beautiful Germany, a country dear to the heart of many Bahrainis and expatriates, where we enjoy strong diplomatic, trade and tourism relations.

We will continue to share our message of peace, love, and tolerance which are the cornerstones of Bahrain’s multicultural society.

We believe that the Kingdom of Bahrain is a shining example to the world that multiculturalism succeeds when it is nurtured with a blend of mutual respect, tolerance and love.

We know that Bahrain has much to share with other countries and peoples, especially during these dark days when much of the world is in turmoil.

We want to share the true picture of life in Bahrain to counteract the negative picture painted by some organisations and individuals and this is why we have created ‘THIS IS BAHRAIN’ with Bahrainis and expatriates joining together to proudly represent the kingdom we all call home.

Churches, mosques, temples, masjids, along with schools, clubs societies, associations and authorities will participate in the exhibition and conference in Berlin to an invited audience of residents, diplomats, parliamentarians, business organisations, students and religious leaders and local and international media.

The ‘THIS IS BAHRAIN’ international roadshow will continue to visit other European and international cities during 2014 and 2015 as part of its ‘Message of Peace with Love from Bahrain’.
