Lost Paradise of Dilmun Waterpark has bagged a top seven slot amongst the top 10 awardees for the entire Middle East for the 2014 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Attractions Awards.
This accolade honours top attractions worldwide based on millions of reviews and opinions from TripAdvisor travellers.
Dr Essa Faqih, advisor for Lost Paradise of Dilmun Waterpark, said: “We are truly proud that for this year alone we have received two awards from TripAdvisor, just recently a Certificate of Excellence and now the much coveted Traveller’s Choice Awards.
“Over the last few years Bahrain travel and tourism, via an endless support from the Ministry of Culture through the tourism sector headed by Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa, assistant undersecretary, has well positioned a consistent growth poised to increase 7.6 per cent or about 10.2 per cent of the GDP to Bahrain’s economy for 2014 as forecasted by the World Travel & Tourism Council, a rising figure that is also being enjoyed by the waterpark.
“The valuable contribution of the ministry has therefore encouraged the leisure sector to contribute progressively in providing world class facilities and entertainment for the entire family. This in turn has accounted for 45 per cent of leisure related arrivals.
“The award is also a testament that the waterpark is a powerhouse team of different talents and skills that includes a strong Bahraini workforce all embracing a customer centric ethos thus resulting into guests valued satisfaction and appreciation.”
Senior PR & marketing manager Cristina Fulgencio added: “Now celebrating a successful seventh year of operations, Lost Paradise of Dilmun is continuing its positive outlook seamlessly catering to a diverse demography of guests.
“This season alone we have launched mainstream shows and events, newly-introduced exclusive Saturday Family mornings, revamped team-building for corporate packages and the all-exclusive Ladies Night, plus the consistent upgrading of our F&B and retail offerings, whilst developing new services and amenities that would further enhance customer experience.”
“TripAdvisor travellers have helped identify some of the best attractions around the globe,” said Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor. “These award-winning attractions are an ideal starting point for taking in the world’s ‘must-see’ sights.”
TripAdvisor branded sites make up the largest travel community in the world, reaching nearly 260 million unique online monthly visitors, and more than 150 million reviews and opinions covering more than four million accommodations, restaurants and attractions. The sites operate in 41 countries worldwide.
Less than one per cent of all attractions listed on TripAdvisor have received The Travellers Choice Awards this year, making Lost Pardise of Dilmun Waterpark amongst a group of exclusive awardees.
