Toyota has announced steady growth in sales in the Middle East, selling 356,805 units in the first half of 2014 which is a six per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
Sales rose across the marque’s portfolio, helping to maintain its leadership position in the region, the company says.

Sales of the new Yaris sedan saw a 63 per cent increase, selling 27,823 units in 2014. With its increased body size and luxurious interior, its excellent handling stability and ride comfort, the Yaris Sedan signals yet another success story for Toyota, it’s makers say. It is available with the option of a 1.5-litre or 1.3-litre engine.
The compact SUV RAV4 sales rose by 34 per cent in the first six months of 2014. The model boasts a comfortable ride, maneuverability, revised Electric Power Steering and a new Dynamic Torque Control 4WD.
Sales of the Land Cruiser SUV also witnessed an increase selling four per cent more than the previous year. The Land Cruiser comes equipped with a Multi-Terrain select system and off-roading technologies such as a Crawl Control system, which offers five speeds to maintain a constant low speed for a secure drive across different terrain by providing optimal throttle and brake control.
