The AMH Island Classic charity golf tournament, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad is all set to tee off at His Majesty’s private golf course in Safriya.

Over a decade ago, American Mission Hospital launched a fundraising programme that over the years has considerably extended hospital premises, services and facilities.

Today, the AMH Island Classic programme continues to raise funds for hospital equipment and for programmes both inside and outside the hospital that are aimed at improving the health of our community.

The faithful sponsorship that comes each year from so many individuals, companies, banks and ministries is deeply appreciated. So far funds raised this year have reached BD64,000 with BD42,500 of in-kind sponsorship.

The three-day tournament is one of the leading events in Bahrain’s sporting calendar and is now in its 17th year. This year’s Island Classic will be held from November 20-22 on His Majesty’s private golf course, as in the previous 16 years. The VIP Opening Ceremony will be held at noon on November 20 and the awards ceremony will be held in Al Khayma at the Ritz Carlton Bahrain, Hotel & Spa on November 25.

AMH was founded to serve Bahrain. We are proud to continue that tradition and thank His Majesty the King for once again allowing us the use of his private golf course and for his patronage. We also thank all those who assist us by supporting the annual AMH Island Classic programmes.
