An upcoming neighbourhood restaurant hopes to find its niche in Bahrain’s growing cosmopolitan culinary sector.
Pomodorini, the latest development in the portfolio of Unique Restaurants, located in Al Raya Mall, Juffair, is promising customers quirky variations of Italian cuisine while still maintaining its integrity and essence.
The establishment, subtitled ‘Italian With A Twist’, will provide unique takes on Italian staples supplemented by fresh, local ingredients.
Michelin-starred chef Gianfranco Chiarini, CEO and executive chef of Chiarini Culinary Consultants, is overseeing the restaurant’s launch along with his wife Ana and believes the straightforward motto of ‘keep it simple, keep it fresh’ will see Pomodorini become a success.
He said: “Our philosophy is serving food that is natural, fresh and free of preservatives and additives. At Pomodorini, we guarantee that the dishes contain the best ingredients at all times.
Founder and managing director of Unique Restaurants Abdul Rasheed Puthusseri added: “For the first time in this region, people are going to experience the different tastes of Italy, with the influence of local recipes. We aim to give the world flavours a truly Italian twist.”
The company plans to open more branches in Bahrain in 2015, as well as entering the markets in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait.
