Gulf Weekly Refreshingly rosy

ROSE milk is delicious, but it’s also filled with sugar and colourings and artificial flavouring. Not to mention milk! And we all know the side-effects of milk by now. Which means your rose milk indulgence will do you more harm than good.

Could we possibly make it healthier? How about rose milk with a healthy twist?
Take one cup of raw almonds (not roasted or salted) and soak in water overnight.  Then throw out the soaking water and put the soaked almonds in the blender with 2 ½  cups of drinking water to make home-made almond milk.

But before you blend you must add the pink!  Add half or more of a beetroot (raw and peeled) to the mix and 10-12 soft dates to sweeten. Add four tablespoons rose water.

Blend well then sieve the milk in a cotton cloth to get the pure pink rose milk. Delicious and healthy. Why not?
