Expats are starting to fill up their fridges and freezers with good Irish fare as the festive season draws ever closer.
Gulf Irish Food Traders, which was set up in 2010, has revised, improved and added additional items to its Christmas list.
As reported in GulfWeekly, it now brings in regular supplies of products to several GCC countries and deals with retailers and wholesalers across the region in partnership with farms and food companies across Ireland.
Chilled festive deliveries started two years ago to meet a growing demand. This year’s include fresh game, turkeys, ducks, free-range chickens, other traditional meat products and seafood. Orders have to be placed before December 12 to ensure pre-Christmas delivery.
An e-commerce website will be operational by January to provide an online shopping experience for home delivery. This will be complimented by a pre-order chilled list of specialised Irish lines that will arrive the following week in temperature-controlled vehicles.
