Dubai One, the free-to-air English entertainment channel, is offering a selection of new shows in June including Side Order of Life and The OC Season 2.

The OC Season 2 started last Tuesday and will be telecast at 2pm and 8pm from Sunday to Thursday.

In this exciting new season, watch the Core Four romances of Ryan-and-Marissa and Seth-and-Summer as they may (or may not) go from “totally” over to “totally” on. Sandy and Kirsten face choices that could wreck their 20-year marriage. Felon (and Ryan’s brother) Trey gives Newport living a try, Julie’s lurid past comes back to haunt her, and other new hunks and hotties become part of the coastal scene. Live. Laugh. Lie. Cheat. Grow. Share. Connive. Love. In California’s beach paradise they do everything under the sun.

Starting Saturday at 1pm Dubai One debuts touching screen drama Side Order of Life starring Jason Priestly (90210). Side Order of Life is a comedic drama about that moment in your life when the universe gives you a wake-up call. But if you’re lucky enough to get it, are you ready to answer, or do you ignore it and send it to voice mail?

For Jenny McIntyre, life is about to get very real, especially when the illness of her closest friend, Vivy, surprisingly provides Jenny with a new clarity and an extraordinary outlook on life. As a photographer, Jenny finds herself with the ability to make connections through the lens of her camera that were never before possible. These connections allow her to change the world around her. Jenny’s journey ultimately takes her to see something that isn’t clear to others, which enables her to touch people’s lives. But will it also help her put her own life together?

Two lucky contestants will walk away with a large cash prize in the world’s most incredible reality adventure – The Amazing Race Season 8, showing on Dubai One every Friday at 8pm. Teams of two people in an existing relationship such as spouses, best friends, parent and child, and/or partners – travel the world while performing mentally challenging and physically gruelling tasks.

Teams are filmed around the clock as their wits – and relationships – are pushed to the breaking point. Those who can’t keep up are eliminated, while the rest of the teams race to the finish line hoping to become the winner of this truly global game.

And finally, two-time Golden Globe winning political show The West Wing comes back on screen every Thursday at 9pm, to give a daily glimpse into presidential politics in the nation’s capital as it tells the stories of the members of a fictional presidential administration.

These interesting characters have humour and dedication that touches the heart while the politics that they discuss touch on everyday life.
