BCL won the glittering Bahrain Cricket Carnival trophy by defeating the Indian Club by 13 runs in the seven-a-side cricket tournament played at Awali Oval.
The Indian Club won the toss and elected to field, BCL scored 77 runs in their allotted six overs. Yunus Gauri scored 33 runs including four fours and two massive sixes. Xavier Jose made 14 Runs.
In reply, the Indian Club was all out for 64 runs, Irfan shaikh was the top scorer with 34 runs, including six fours. Zeeshan Ali of BCL took two wickets for eight runs.
Alpha Fire Services Bahrain defeated Alpha Fire Service UK by six wickets to win the Plate Trophy.
Alpha Fire services UK could score only 44 runs in their innings with Ali chipping in with 21 runs.
Alpha Fire Services Bahrain had no difficulty in chasing a small target of 45 runs, which they achieved in 3.4 overs.
Zafar Iqbal remained not out on 28 runs. Amila A scored 14 runs not out.
The main attraction of the day - the Super Cup fixture played between the cup winners and The Sri Lankan HNB visitors.
HNB, lead by veteran Russel Arnold, won the toss and elected to field. BCL scored 76 runs for the loss of four wickets in six overs.
Frank Ryde, managing director of event organisers Alpha Fire Services Bahrain proposed a vote of thanks and revealed plans for a bigger carnival next year.
