Wednesday (Sept 24)Studio Ceramics in Budaiya is offering a 'Red Hot Chilli Peppers' course where ladies can practice shading, spattering and outlining techniques on chip 'n' dip dishes on September 24 and 29 from 9am to 1pm. cost is BD40 including all bisque materials and finishing.

The studio is also offering Creative Ceramics sessions for children each Saturday or Sunday over three weeks from September 20 to October 12. Cost is BD45 and will include all bisque materials, tuition and refreshments.

The Palakkad Arts and Cultural Theatre will host a variety of cultural programmes and concerts to mark Onam at the Gulf Gate Hotel.

All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting local charity groups and the needy. The celebrations will also include a traditional gala dinner. For details contact 39851646.

The Filipino Club Basketball Group (FCBG) is conducting its second basketball league which will be held until December at the Muharraq Sports Complex.

The games are held in two categories - a commercial league and inter colour reserved for Filipino clubs. Registration fees are BD150 for inter colour and BD250 for the commercial play-offs. All matches will be played on Fridays from 7.30am to 4pm. For details contact 39025389.
