Harley Davidson enthusiasts from around the world are set to gather in Bahrain next month when the kingdom hosts the Middle East Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) Rally. The four-day event will be held from November 11 to 14 at the Rally Site at Al A'ali Mall.

Lebanese singer Elisa and motorcycle stuntman David Eagar will perform. The three-day event begins with a welcome reception at the Bahrain Harley Davidson dealership with live entertainment by sword dancers and a local folklore band, as well as a traditional-style buffet, complete with live cooking, homemade bread and hubble-bubble.

The rally includes rides to prominent historic sites including Beit Al Jasra, the traditional Muharraq souq, the Shaikh Isa House, the burial mounds and the Bahrain Fort.

A particularly scenic 'Desert Ride' through Sukair and past Bahrain's legendary Jebal Al Dukan (Mountain of Smoke) is also being organised, as are two 'Thunder Parades'.

On November 13, the Manama Singers and the Bahrain Sinfonia will perform Handel's 'Messiah' at the Crowne Plaza Convention Centre, Manama. They will be joined by choirs from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Dahran and Oman swelling their numbers to 150, one of the largest groups of choral singers ever assembled in the region, under the direction of conductor Alistair Auld.

The choir will be joined by international soloists Kathryn Jenkin (Soprano), Penelope Davies (Alto), Clifford Lister (Tenor) and Stephen Alder (Bass). St. Christopher's School will be hosting a series of first aid courses at its Saar campus. Each course is BD25 and includes manual and a certificate. Art group Elham will be holding its third monthly event 'ELHAM21: Secrets Revealed' featuring the work of young Bahraini fashion stylist Noor Al Shaikh, the creator of the 'I Heart Vintage' store.

Noor collects vintage pieces of fashion from the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s and creates unique outfits from them. She will showcase some of these and tell the stories of these vintage pieces, how she came to find them and what their origins are. Twenty-two year old Bahraini guitarist Ali Malik, who is a member of the heavy metal bank Re-alive, will perform a selection of acoustic songs and musical compositions.
