Guiltless ice cream

I bet you never thought the words guiltless and ice cream can go together in one sentence. Well, they can and once you try it many doors of deliciousness will open for you.

Step one is to peel and freeze six ripe bananas overnight. The next day break up the frozen bananas and blend them in the food processor until they become a fluffy creamy mixture that resembles ice cream. Add cinnamon, walnuts, or anything you like to this mixture and just like that you have guiltless dairy-free sugar-free ice cream. You can add honey or maple syrup for added sweetness but I find it sweet enough as it is.

I like to make special combinations to vary the flavours. Bananas with cacao powder is always popular. But you can add walnuts and cinnamon as mentioned above. Or you can add desiccated coconut and pineapple for a cocktail flavour. Or even dates, pistachios and cardamom for an Arabic twist.

Vary the flavours, but always keep the frozen bananas as a creamy base. WARNING: may cause intense happiness.
