A young girl nicknamed ‘Babydoll’ is institutionalised after she is blamed for the death of her sister. The asylum’s orderly is bribed into forging the signature of a psychiatrist to have Babydoll lobotomised. As a coping strategy, she finds herself retreating to a world where the line between reality and fantasy blurs as she envisions a plan to escape the facility.
