Troon, the golf management company which recently took charge of the Royal Golf Club, has been celebrating course success in the Gulf region.
Host venue to the European Tour’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, Abu Dhabi Golf Club has been awarded Best Course in the Middle East at the coveted Asia Pacific Golf Summit.
Developed by Tourism Development & Investment Company – the master developer of major tourism, cultural and residential destinations in Abu Dhabi – the club also finished second runner up for Best Championship Course in Asia Pacific.
Meanwhile, Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, another Troon-managed venue, was named first runner up for Best Pro Shop in Asia Pacific.
Abu Dhabi Golf Club and Saadiyat Beach Golf Club group general manager Chris Card said: “Winning Best Course in the Middle East is a fantastic achievement against such strong competition and is testament to the team’s commitment to maintain Abu Dhabi Golf Club’s reputation as one of the most luxurious golf resort experiences in the Middle East.”
