His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Athletics Association, visited St Christopher’s Saar campus to officially opened the school’s newly-resurfaced sports field, which was upgraded to a FIFA approved surface over the summer, and the smaller, newly-shaded multi-purpose pitch.
 
Shaikh Khalid, a keen triathlon athlete, spent time with St Christopher’s Award triathlon students and shared his enthusiasm for sport and fitness.
