A veil of secrecy was placed over the Bahrian International Circuit this week as a hybrid sports car was put through its paces in a private series of trials.
Officials from Porsche were seen in and around Sakhir and race fans say they spotted ace driver Mark Webber at the circuit.
Mark is sharing the Porsche 919 Hybrid with racers Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley in the 2015 World Endurance Championship.
BIC and Porsche officials declined to confirm or deny the testing.
