The Disney Live! Mickey’s Music Festival will be staged in Bahrain on March 15-19 at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre. Mickey and Minnie Mouse will join Donald and Goofy, along with 25 of the world’s favourite characters, in what promises to be a fun-filled live theatre experience.

The next edition of Trib Fest will take place at the Bahrain Rugby Football Club in Janabiya on April 15. The event is an open air family friendly music festival and will involve various tribute acts from the UK performing classic hits by artists such as Queen, Stereophonics, David Bowie, Rihanna and Bryan Adams.

Two charity football tournaments will be taking place in March and April at the Bahrain Rugby Football Club in Janabiya.
First up is an U12 tournament on March 4. From 1pm onwards, 10 teams (consisting of eight from Bahrain and two from Saudi Arabia) will battle it out in a group stage before gunning for glory in the finals stage.
On April 22, there will be two tournaments for the U10 and U14 age categories. There will also be various other entertainment activities, T-shirt sales, a raffle with prizes donated by chief sponsors NMDC, Movenpick Hotel Bahrain, Harmony Jewellers, and more.
Entry to all tournaments is free for guests, but donations will be gratefully accepted. All money raised will go towards Nepal charities and the event is being organised by Dutch businessman Paul Vrijhof, who has a successful track record of running similar tournaments, helped by volunteers.
The Bahrain Society for Sickle Cell Disease Patients Care is hosting an event titled ‘A Journey of Hope and Support’ on March 5 at Amwaj Lagoon. The occasion will be dedicated to Sickle Cell Disease patients in Bahrain and the aim is to raise funds and promote awareness.
It will be split up into three parts. The first is ‘Awareness’, where the participants will be given a booklet and then made to pass through different booths. Each booth will represent and explain various aspects of the disease.
The second part is ‘Blood Donation’. The allocation of several mobile blood donation units to the event has been organised in junction with King Hamad University Hospital, and the blood collected will be given to patients in need for treatment locally.
The final aspect is the ‘Walkathon’, which will last for 30 minutes, and the aim is to express support for sufferers.
Avicii, pictured above, will headline the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix weekend performing on the night before the big F1 race, two years after he had to pull out of the same slot for health reasons.
Veteran Jamaican Grammy-winning singer Jimmy Cliff, pictured right, opens the festival of off-track entertainment at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir the night before on April 1.
Cliff is best known for songs such as Wonderful World, Beautiful People, Many Rivers to Cross, You Can Get It If You Really Want, The Harder They Come, Reggae Night, Hakuna Matata, and I Can See Clearly Now from the film Cool Runnings.
The music continues with world famous DJ pair Axwell ^ Ingrosso, pictured below right. The duo’s first performance was in 2014 at the June 8 Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City, and since then the former members of Swedish House have enjoyed global success with a string of hits.
