Spot the queue! Moments after news broke that Bahrain will increase petrol prices, the first time in 33 years from midnight on Monday, drivers rushed to fill up their tanks. The price of premium Mumtaz fuel rose from 100 fils – 74 per cent lower than the average world price – to 160 fils per litre, with the cheaper Jayyid fuel increasing from 80 fils to 125 fils per litre.
