I enjoyed reading the front page
article last week about Anna-Marie Dowling who has taken over as GM of the Westin and Le Méridien hotels in City Centre Bahrain.
Her story about starting in the industry as a waitress and room cleaner was truly inspirational and will encourage those
entering the kingdom’s hospitality sector that anything is possible if you work hard, are committed to learning and take chances
when they come your way.
On another note, I was astonished to read that she has a 21-year-old cat. Can you share a photo of Daisy with your pet-loving
readers?
Emily Wright, Saar.
Editor’s note: The Whisperer is on to it … look out for his ‘purrr-fect’ column shortly!
Great film review of London Has Fallen – headlined ‘London’s appalling’ – in last week’s issue of GulfWeekly – it’s on the
same level as Kings of Egypt in my opinion!
Michelle, by email.
