I registered my details online to
become a member of the MIB (mumsinbahrain) community. I had been attracted to the offer of a ‘warm Bahraini welcome’ and looked
forward to their ‘events that serve as a connection point for mums’.
OK, I confess, I never actually made it to any as my kids are way too big for Yellow Submarine but I remember only too well
how great this would have been if I’d had pre-schoolers.
Instead, I enjoyed reading through the forums but my new favourite past-time is perusing the classifieds; quite frankly it’s
the best entertainment. Post in classifieds at your peril and await a barrage of insults and catty reactions.
The recent string of comments towards a woman advertising her plants for sale in Janabiya had me in stitches as I followed a
tirade from an MIB member claiming to be an agricultural expert whilst scolding the seller for not giving her plants away for
free in order to make a difference to society!
Many members fought back in support of the seller and the fun continued.
Maybe, I’ll post ‘the husband’ on classifieds … it might even get a reaction from ‘admin’!
