Any golfer that has played in a competition, whether small or large, can confirm the different feelings that one experiences compared to a social game with friends.
Competitive play can be nerve-wracking, exciting and overwhelming at times.
To help prepare for tournament golf, try testing yourself next time you have a friendly game:
- Play from the next set of tees further back than you normally play to challenge your driving skills.
- Count every shot and if you a putt a ball to gimme distance, measure it back a club length and hole it out.
- Keep your cards from previous rounds and try to match or beat your score on every separate hole to improve your shot saving skills.
