The launch event, which was attended by business associates, journalists and social media influencers, also featured the global launch and tasting of the UK-based franchise’s newly-extended menu, now serving breakfast, lunch and dinner in addition to its original dessert menu.

The evening featured entertainment by Bahraini musician Mo Zowayed, as well as other family activities. Wafflemeister, the first brand to be launched by Bahrain-based restaurants management company, Mint Trading Partners, is built around a bakery café concept serving prepared to order and freshly baked savoury and sweet waffles and crepes, including its signature Liege waffle secret recipe.

These offerings are complemented by a range of natural gelato flavours, thick shakes, gourmet coffee, fresh juices and smoothies, and sundaes.

At the launch were Mint Trading Partners’ chairman Shaikh Hassan bin Rashid Al Khalifa, CEO Younes Skaini and board members Marwan Tabbara and Ahmad Al Umran.

Wafflemeister founder and CEO Alexander Troullier flew from the UK to attend the event with CFO Rikos Leong-Son.
