Al Rashid Group, a division of Landmark Retail, has signed an agreement to develop a third Oasis Mall in Bahrain, in Juffair.
The project starts this month and is due for completion by February 2018. Aarti Jagtiani, group director – Landmark Group, said: “We believe that Oasis Mall Juffair will become the ‘go-to’ destination for the entire community and an integral part of daily lives by providing an environment that is fun, inviting, affordable and approachable.”
The group already operates malls in East Riffa and Muharraq. The agreement for the new two-storey project will have a covered area of 55,000sq/m and 870 car parking spaces. The retail mix will include numerous family entertainment facilities, including a 12-screen multiplex, a variety of restaurants, a supermarket and an assortment of commercial and fashion stores.
It was signed with Mohamed Jalal Constructions Company as project contractor, with designing and implementation assigned to Mohamed Salahuddin Consulting Engineering Bureau (MSCEB).
The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries including Vikas Attri, chief operating officer at Al Rashid Group. Mohammed Saluhuddin – managing director, Thamer Salahuddin – vice president, and Sushil Kher – executive director, represented MSCEB, while Jalal Mohammed Jalal – managing director, and David Bailey – general manager, attended on behalf of the Mohammed Jalal Contracting Company.
