The British School Bahrain has this week been celebrating ‘another outstanding year of A Level and BTEC results’ at its Hamala campus.

The results show all of its students passed their A2 examinations, an impressive 43 per cent of grades were A*-A. 61.7 per cent were A*-B and 79.4 per cent were A-C.

The average UCAS points score jumped from 87 in 2015 to 100 this year.

In total 22.4 per cent of all the entries, 10 per cent above the UK national average, were the top A* grades and eight students achieved at least three straight A grades or above.

Ali Adenwala achieved three A* grades, whilst Marium Abbas achieved one A* grade and three A grades, Abrar Hasan achieved one A* grade and 2 A grades. Ali Mohammed achieved four A grades, Rishabh Sharma achieved three A* and one C, Ahmed Gerashi three A*, Ingeborg Dr Vries three A* and Panagiotis Panagiotou three A* and one B.

With many students moving on to university, the school is delighted to celebrate the fact that the vast majority gained their first choice places, said chairman of the board of trustees, Rashad Janahi.

“These terrific results have continued a remarkable year for the British School Bahrain,” he added. “The investment we made in creating a school where students are provided the very best education has clearly created the conditions for all our students to succeed and we are delighted that all their hard work has paid off and we wish them every success as they pursue their dreams.”
