All set: The racing season at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) is gearing up to kick off in October. In anticipation of the new season, BIC chief executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa and Bahrain Tender Board secretary-general Jamal Abdulaziz Abdulghaffar Al Alawi met earlier this week. Shaikh Salman stressed the role of the board in enhancing the transparency and efficiency of procurement and sales practices, which in turn supports the growth of the private sector and boosts economic stability. The 2022-23 national racing season kicks off this October with international, regional and national championships, in addition to off-track events throughout the calendar year. BIC chief commercial officer Sherif Al Mahdy and corporate services director Beshara Abdu Beshara also attended the meeting at the Tender Board headquarters.
