Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation (MKF) will offer a scholarship seat fully sponsored by Bahraini scholar, Dr Mohammed Jaber Al Ansari.
The scholarship will be offered as a part of the foundation’s Rayaat Programme and is in line with its overall strategy focusing on providing scholarships to a wide segment of the community.
“We would like to extend our appreciation to Dr Mohammed Al-Ansari for graciously sponsoring a seat and collaborating with Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation,” said MKF board of trustees’ chairman, Shaikha Zain bint Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.
“Such a step allows the foundation to intensify its support towards budding university students. We hope to receive the support and encouragement from other individuals allowing the foundation to meet its set goals and mission.”
The Rayaat Scholarship was launched in 2011 as a comprehensive approach to promote educational achievement and personal development by providing students with scholarship opportunities at accredited universities in the kingdom along with a series of career development opportunities such as internships in the public and private sectors.
The programme aims to empower students with the necessary skills to achieve excellence and fulfill their potential while providing them with financial incentives based on educational performance. It also instills other strong ethics such as social responsibility.
The scholarship seat provided by Dr Mohammed will follow the same features provided by the initiative which include fully-paid tuition and book fees along with monthly financial incentives.
The selected student will be able to take part in workshops, internships and other community service opportunities. The student will also receive the ‘Rayaat Student Card’ which offers exclusive discounts at a number of retail outlets.
The student will be selected based on overall academic achievement, one-on-one interview results and community work conducted during high school.
Dr Mohammed comes from a wealth of experience within the academic field previously holding the post of Professor of Islamic Civilisation and Modern Thought and Dean of Higher Education Faculty at the Arabian Gulf University.
