Friday brunch result!
ONE of Bahrain’s most popular sports bars
is launching its first-ever Friday Brunch to add a piece of ‘Wemb-glee’ to the
kingdom’s dining out scene.
Wembley Sports Bar is expecting a capacity
crowd of food-lovers at the venue, located at the fourth floor of The Premier
Hotel, the popular four-star property in the heart of Juffair.
The Wembley team of chefs promise ‘the
freshest Friday Brunch ever’ when they kick-off this Friday, from 12.30pm to
4pm.
The venue’s new manager, Steve George,
said: “Wembley really is a fantastic venue, with charismatic customers all
enjoying the great food and beverages, top live sporting action and also live
entertainment throughout the week, alongside very reasonable prices.
“It really is an exciting time as we are
expanding our weekly entertainment line-up to include karaoke, a huge Quiz
Night on Wednesdays starting soon and much more. Of course, we are all hyped up about our very
first Friday Brunch starting this Friday featuring great food, at a great price
with great live entertainment.”
Entertainment throughout the day will be
provided by one of the most exciting live acts on the island – UK-based trio
Old Street Blues, pictured right.
The band, founded at a blues jam at
London’s celebrated White Horse in Hoxton, has just arrived in Bahrain, playing
fresh arrangements of classic standards, contemporary rhythm & blues and original
material.
Old Street Blues is made up of Jacob
Brookman, who has played the stages of Kentish Town Forum, Sage Gateshead and
Glastonbury Festival, whose debut dancehall album under the moniker Rotty
Chimes is available now on iTunes, vocalist Michelle Hanson, who started her
music career in an R&B girl band with Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud, and
Kaan Hills, a former member of the seven-piece ska outfit, The Costellos.
“Wembley is open daily from noon right
through to 2am, so there is no excuse not to pop along with your friends and
experience a fresh attitude to food, sport and entertainment,” added
Steve.
