Bahrain International Circuit is participating in Shop Bahrain, the kingdom’s month-long shopping festival.

Running until February 4, BIC will be operating a special stand in Bahrain Bay as part of the circuit’s promotional campaign for the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix on April 16.

Open daily from 4pm to 10pm, and from 4pm until midnight during the weekend, the stand will feature a racing simulator where speed enthusiasts can test their virtual driving skills and aim to set the fastest lap time of the day.

This pace-setter will be announced by BIC and awarded a daily prize. Also at the stand, there will be a children’s area where they can enjoy all sorts of fun activities such as drawing and colouring; plus a display of some of the cars used in various BIC experiences.

Furthermore, the stand will be an additional site from where the public can purchase tickets to the race. Tickets to the Formula 1 spectacle are already available and they can be purchased under discounted prices of up to 20 per cent.

This offer covers tickets to BIC’s Main Grandstand and Turn One Grandstand. There is also a 10 per cent reduction on ticket prices to the Batelco Grandstand, University Grandstands and Victory Grandstands.

Children aged 12 and younger can get their tickets for half price. All tickets are for three-day access to the Grand Prix weekend, which, aside from Formula 1, will include racing from other major international and regional championships.

In addition, BIC will be presenting its usual selection of family entertainment. The Bahrain Grand Prix is set to be the third race on the Formula 1 calendar for 2017 and it will be Bahrain’s fourth Grand Prix hosted under floodlights in Sakhir.

Aside from the Bahrain Bay stand, tickets can be purchased at the BIC stand in Bahrain City Centre, online at www.bahraingp.com or by calling the BIC Hotline on 17450000
