Custom-fit drivers

Less than a third of all golfers get custom fit for their golf clubs.

People often believe they are ‘not good enough to be custom fit’, yet technology plays a big part in increasing distance off the tee.

Fitting gives peace of mind - if you hit a bad shot you know 100 per cent it was a swing fault rather than the golf club’s fault.

A customer came for a fitting this week, aged between 50 and 60 years, right-handed and with a 15 handicap.

Using the FlightScope we determined that he gained 6mph more ball speed with the TaylorMade M1 Driver than with his own regular driver. As a result of this increased speed, he increased his carry and total distance.

Custom-fitting usually takes around 30 minutes depending on how many clubs you would like to compare and try.

We are holding a TaylorMade Demo Day at the Royal Golf Club on Thursday, March 16 between 3pm and 8pm with a specialist in attendance and the new M1 and M2 Drivers available to try out. Book an appointment in advance by calling 17750777 ext. 302.
