Get ready Bahrain … Latin heart-throb Enrique Iglesias is all set to serenade race fans with his top hits including his hot new single SUBEME LA RADIO.

The Spanish singer, songwriter, actor and record producer, known as the King of Latin Pop says he is thrilled to be performing in the kingdom.

He took to his Twitter account with a heartfelt message: “#Bahrain!!! See you guys at the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix @BAH_Int_Circuit April 15 in Sakhir.”

Die-hard Enrique fans have been counting down the days to watch the Grammy-award winner light up the stage at the Sakhir circuit.

Rana Ahmed, 29, Celerity Shipping sales manager, who lives in Hamad Town, said: “I love Enrique and can’t wait to see him perform. He has always been one of my favourite singers. He has so much energy and passion for his music. This is going to be an amazing show!”

The singer has had a string of successes having topped the Billboard charts with soulful songs such as Be With You and Hero and kept music lovers dancing to concert drowd-pleasers such as I like It and Addicted.

Enrqiue holds the record for 25 Number One singles in the Spanish-language and has sold more than 60 million albums in English and Spanish.

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree as his father Julio was a legendary international star during the 1970s and 1980s. Julio had a hit single from a duet with Diana Ross. Enrique began following in his father’s footsteps in the mid-90s and in doing so has won one Grammy and four Latin Grammys, in addition to many Billboard Music Awards, Billboard Latin Music Awards and American Music Awards.

Enrique’s song Bailando, featuring Descemer Bueno and Gente De Zona, holds the record as the longest-running No 1 ever in the history of Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs Chart.

His love for music may have stemmed from his family but his inspiration grows stronger every year –thanks to his loving girlfriend and ex-tennis player Anna Kournikova.

All those with Formula 1 tickets to the Bahrain Grand Prix will be able to enjoy the show.
