A cracking Korean Cup contest at the Awali Golf Club was won by Roberta Trzebinskiwith on 43 points, just a single point ahead of main challenger Yoy Young.
Despite a brief Friday afternoon shower, 88 players finished last Friday’s 18-hole Stableford challenge which was first run in the 2013/14 season and continues to be sponsored by Kwang Bok Kim and his wife, Sang Oak Nam.
In third, fourth, fifth and sixth places were Clive Bailey with 42, Diane Loney with 41, Ali Musbah with 40 and Diane Loney with 39 points respectively.
Side prizes for Nearest the Pin went to Nicky Park and Rashid Yacoob, and the Longest Drive was secured by Sarah Hobday and Dong Jin Jeong.
After a tasty Korean meal, winners were presented with prizes sponsored by the Kims.
AGC’s next competition is the Ma’a Slama Cup, sponsored by former AGC captain Bill Scarth and Nicky Park, on Friday.
