Swiss luxury watch company Hublot recently hosted a two-part event at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, showcasing its first timely offerings for 2018, a varied collection ranging from new ‘big bang’ models to timeless, stylish and artistic classic fusions.

The brand showcases its novelties through a roadshow in the Middle East, with recently appointed regional director, Hublot Middle East and Africa, David Tedeschi orchestrating the presentation alongside Dr Abdul Qassim Shirazi, managing director of Bahrain Jewellery Centre.

Abdul described the annual Hublot Roadshow as a ‘highly-anticipated event’ and the crowd of devotees and collectors in attendance proved the point.

“The Hublot family in this part of the world is growing year-on-year, and we are confident our novelties will attract existing and new clients alike,” added David

The star of the new collection, the ‘Big Bang Unico Golf’, in partnership with American golfer Dustin Johnson, the current World Number 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking who reached that position with his win at the 2017 Genesis Open.

The time-piece is dedicated to what the faithful describe as the ‘ultimate precision sport’ – golf. The brand designed, developed, manufactured and assembled a module to equip its new UNICO movement with a function specifically created for the sport, allowing golfers to seamlessly calculate their score whilst on the course.

Next up, the 45mm timepiece, ‘Big Bang Unico Sapphire Galaxy’, was inspired by the billions of stars found in the solar system. On the bezel, amethysts and sapphires in rose, orange, fuchsia and different shades of blue evoke the Milky Way with its constellation of stars.

Forged in blue ceramic, the ‘Big Bang Meca-10 Blue Ceramic’, opens to a bluish skeleton mechanism and comes with a rubber strap in the same royal colour.

The modern and distinctive watch emulates the company’s defining ‘Art of Fusion’ concept in combining elements that ordinarily never appear together. The case, bezel and folding clasp are made of high-tech ceramic with high temperature sintering. Very hard and solid, yet lighter than steel, it resists scratches and ageing.

The Classic Fusion AeroFusion Chronograph Orlinski perfectly shows how Hublot loves art too. Hublot and French artist Richard Orlinski combined their know-how to create a work-of-art which shows time and brings to life the artist’s graphic universe. The watch features a new design playing with angles and reflections. Ridges and facets on the watch reflect each other, from case to bezel, push buttons to hands.

The timeless Classic Fusion Ceramic Integrated Bracelet, a must-have collection with the Hublot insignia, now incorporates a black ceramic bracelet. It is available in chronograph or three-hand date mode with a matt black or glossy blue dial, this unisex Art of Fusion icon has the laid-back style of a perfectly designed classic.
