Yup that makes absolutely no sense to me either but it’s pre-English language and is the first literal use of ‘time stands still for no man’.

Unfortunately, time has stood still for several months at the iconic clock roundabout on Exhibitions Avenue in Hoora.

The mystery, however, is how did two of its faces stop at a different time? Unless, someone is determined on winding up the Whisperer!
