The Dadabhai Group’s award-winning Seef Terraces development dazzled at the popular Gulf Property Show.
The event was recently held at the Avenues Mall for its flourishing footfall.
The BD18m 29-storey family-focussed freehold tower is situated close to City Centre Bahrain.
On display were miniature models of the building which features 173 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, that also boast large private terraces.
The construction work on the residential project was completed last December, only 19 months after the development began in May 2016 and it was ready for handover four months ahead of schedule.
The project’s sales agent, Pegasus Real Estate, stated that 70 per cent had already been sold to buyers in the lead up to the exhibition and it received further positive feedback as well as new customers from its stand.
“The Gulf Property Show looked positive from day one of the showcase and based on previous experiences it was good,” said Arun Kumar Mammaniya, Pegasus’s assistant manager sales and leasing. “We join the show every year to showcase our new projects that we have launched and having it at The Avenues was great!
“When you have it at the exhibition centre you tend to get the typical crowd but The Avenues drew in people of all walks of life – especially expats and Saudis over for the weekend – interested in either a new home or investing. Having it at the mall was something different.”
The tower’s amenities include a landscaped play area for children, a BBQ deck, a multi-purpose hall, a cinema, a games room, a tennis court, squash and basketball courts, a jogging track, a fully-equipped health club with sauna and Jacuzzi for women and men, an infinity pool, sun-deck and outdoor Jacuzzi on the rooftop level made the units an even more appealing purchase. The building has also been designed to be earthquake-resistant.
Other properties that captivated customers was First Bahrain’s El Mercado Village, which was also a strategic sponsor.
El Mercado had only recently unveiled its luxury villas next to its popular retail and leisure Spanish-themed mall which has an Alosra supermarket, retail outlets and restaurants on Avenue 27, labelled ‘Saudi Corner’ because of its close proximity to the causeway.
Khalid Shaheen, First Bahrain’s head of business development, added: “When we first knew that the show was going to be at The Avenues we immediately signed up.
“Our target market is the homeowners and the mall has a high footfall of different people that are looking for property. Within the first hour of the first day we had three potential customers.”
Farrah Al Qassimi, 34, an entrepreneur who created a start-up in renewable energy and her husband, Mohamed Al Awadhi, 36, who works at Bahrain Airport Company, were interested in El Mercado for its location.
“We were walking around and saw the exhibition and thought ‘great’ as we are looking for a home,” explained Farrah. “It was a good idea to exhibit it at the mall rather than going to visit an exhibition. I mean, it is nice to go to an exhibition where there are a lot of different companies and options but this is good to have too from time-to-time to visit while you are doing your own thing.”
The Golden Gate development, which is a joint venture between Bahraini-based real estate company Kooheji Golden Gate and two Indian real estate developers Ajmera Realty and Mayfair Housing, was another highlight of the show, especially after its successful launch event earlier in the month.
The development offers a range of apartments from studio to three bedroom, with prices starting from BD45,000.
“A lot of people had booked apartments in the launch itself because of value for money,” said Shahab Saeed, Golden Gate marketing and communications director. “Golden Gate represents the best investment opportunity and most promising in Bahrain right now, in our opinion.”
The property will be situated in the heart of Bahrain Bay and is built over 140,000sqm with the aim of becoming the tallest residential towers in the kingdom. It will consist of two towers with 45 and 53 stories and a total of 746 apartments, as well as luxurious amenities, facilities and services that are unparalleled. It will also boast gyms and spas, a home theatre, a business centre and a concierge service to tend to people’s every need.
“The Gulf Property Show was an excellent way for our team to further reach out to buyers and potential investors from Bahrain and across the region,” added Shahab.
“The turnout has been great. We had some quality people coming in and the footfall was pretty good. It wasn’t random people walking through and asking questions. It has been legitimately interested potential customers.
“The whole concept of the property itself is putting the customer and their lifestyle first. Our concierge service for example is active from the minute people book a property and sign up. Also, the facilities are fantastic.”
The four-day event was a boutique showcase for 19 exhibitors representing 17 companies in the real estate and property development sector across the region.
Aside from developers, it also featured the Real Estate Regulatory Authority of Bahrain, the Survey and Land Regulatory Bureau, the Urban Planning and Development Authority of Bahrain and Bahrain Property Developers Association
It was inaugurated by Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority and was created to add value to the show’s annual event that is staged by Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE) every April at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre.
Ahmed Suleiman, HCE’s exhibitions director. “It’s been a sell-out first and this event was specifically geared to help our exhibitors sell and market their properties to the visiting public.
“We chose the mall because of its large footfall of GCC visitors, quality of space and location.
“As you know, with property and real estate, everything is about location, location, location.
“Inshallah, the plans are to have our annual event – which is much more of a mega-branded real estate exhibition – in April and the mall events in November.”
