A popular bakery serving up authentic Eastern Arabic desserts has expanded its operation in the kingdom to Saar.
Ward Al Sham Sweets, otherwise known as the ‘Flower of the Levant’, is the brainchild of Palestinian partners Tariq Al Khawaja and Mohammed Laimoun.
The bakery boasts experts hailing from popular pastry and dessert shops in Jordan lead by Palestinian Chef Alaa Al Raoush who has more than 25 years’ experience in the culinary field.
Its latest venue, which features indoor and outdoor seating with terrace views of popular Saar Mall, will offer customers a wide range of desserts from Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon and the rest of the Levant countries.
The menu includes soft and crunchy kunafeh with either cheese or cream filling, as well as other traditional favourites such as all types of basbousa, baklava, warbat and kulage.
Mohammed said: “We are very excited to be located in Saar Mall. It is a prominent shopping destination with a huge footfall and the mall management is fantastic.
“We are also planning to include popular Levant meals and dishes as well in around three-months’ time.”
The bakery is open from 9am to midnight. The other two shops are located in Arad.
