American fashion brand Ralph Lauren has launched a new global advertising campaign in which denim gets a chance to shine.
The Wear Your Story denim drive captures the nostalgic feelings and tales created when a person wears his or her favourite pieces. Photography duo, Tim Hill and James Finnigan, snapped the six models and influencers — including a student, father, mother, and yogi – to feature their stories about how their favourite pair of jeans became unforgettable.
Denim has always been an essential element in Ralph Lauren’s Polo collections. This campaign showcases the new washes, treatments and denim details across several silhouettes. It also features men and women’s polos sourced and produced in numerous styles.
The brand is also partnering with suppliers who collect and recycle old denim, as well as those that work to reduce the use of stones and the amount of water required during the production process. This effort to produce environmentally conscious denim is a significant step in the brand’s journey to sustainably source 100 per cent of its cotton and reduce water use by 20 per cent across all operations and value chain by 2025.
“Wear Your Story” will run from August through September in global markets and it is an extension of the company’s Family Campaign which was launched in April highlighting a broad spectrum of families featured in the Spring 2019 Polo collection.
