German designer Philipp Plein takes fashion lovers back in time with his 2020 resort line.

The cool collection, which takes inspiration from the post-punk London era, captures the essence of rocker Susan Janet Ballion, known professionally as Siouxsie Sioux, the lead singer of the Siouxsie and the Banshees band. The modern-day extensively accessorised Siouxsie Sioux is enveloped in leather, studs and featuring the iconic 80’s Goth archetypes.

With “Dress to Kill” being the new “Dress to Impress”, the line features bold colours in textures of python and leather with exaggerated shoulder pads and structured feminine draped dresses. Bejeweled in Swarovski crystals and sequins, asymmetric skirts and gigot sleeves add to the shimmering, uber-graphic accents of the outfit complete with PLEIN lettering, perfect for an iconic night out.

That’s right ladies, shoulder pads are back in and in Philipp’s collection they are used to reshape the outerwear pairing it with mini-skirts and shorts. To stun in his style, Philipp advises women to merge and complement white classic suits with swanky neon skirts and black blazers embellished in shimmering crystals styled with latex shorts.
