Industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails and electronic music producer Alexander ‘Alex’ Ridha, aka Boys Noize, are set to drop their new album Halo 38 tomorrow.
The production will be released under their supergroup name
Nine Inch Noize.
The creation is preceded by several collaborations between
the artists, including the soundtrack for Tron: Ares (2025).
Alex recounted how Nine Inch Noize began, explaining that he
had previously worked with Nine Inch Nails’ singer and producer Trent Reznor on
a project that fell apart.
Spurred on by that experience, Trent reached out to him
again.
Alex said: “Trent called back with the Challengers (2024)
soundtrack and basically said, ‘Hey, we’ve done the music for the movie. It’s
great but we don’t want to release it like this. Can you do some sort of DJ
mix?’.
“So I’m hanging out with them more and more, and then we
worked on the Tron stuff. During that whole time and process, Trent came up
with the idea of touring together.”
In 2025, Alex was booked as the opening act for Nine Inch
Nails’ Peel It Back tour, and recently, Nine Inch Noize staged their debut live
performance at Coachella (2026), in California, which was positively received.
