The Bahrain Investment Market (BIM), part of the Bahrain Bourse (BHB) listed its first company on December 12 in a bell-ringing ceremony in the presence of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed Alzayani.
Sprinkle Holding, a capital markets focused fintech firm trading under the symbol SPKL in BIM, aims to raise capital through a public offering within the next two years.
BHB chief executive Shaikh Khalifa bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa said: “We are proud that a global FinTech company has chosen Bahrain as its hub and Bahrain Bourse as its preferred listing exchange, mainly driven by the relaxed regulatory framework that BIM aims to offer. This fits in well with the kingdom’s strategy to position itself as a pioneering fintech hub in the region.”
