As part of the French Digital November festival, gamers across the kingdom are being invited to immerse themselves in the world of independent video games made by French studios, writes Naman Arora.

The online event, running on Saturday from 10am to 8pm will showcase desktop and mobile games made by smaller independent studios.

“On this occasion, gamers will be able to try out for free the latest games offered by young French start-ups while interacting with the studios as well as specialised schools and game creators via Twitch,” explained Emmanuel Mayer, deputy head of mission at the French embassy in Manama.

“The web platform will be enabled by French start-up and video-game specialist NTWU.

“This total immersion in the exciting and innovative world of French video games, open to the general public, is the first of its kind in the Gulf countries.”

Those who will be missing the racing action this weekend at the BIC can jump into a car in Nadeo Games’ Trackmania, a multiplayer racing environment with gravity defying tracks.

Game In and Plug In Digital will also be showcasing some of their best titles on Saturday.
