Some of the rarest classic cars from around the world will be showcased at the upcoming Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain — the season-ending round of the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

The awesome display of vintage automobiles is being put together by Bahrain Motor Club.

The show will be among the leading off-track attractions throughout the WEC weekend, which takes place at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) on November 11 and 12.

Racegoers with tickets will be able to visit the car show at no extra cost.

Bahrain Motor Club has been operating for 70 years and has an international reputation for having some of the most exclusive cars.

The club’s board chairman Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali Al Khalifa highlighted their efforts to preserve classic cars and showcase them at public exhibitions.

“BIC has helped boost the kingdom’s sporting, cultural and economic sectors and it has raised many major economic and development projects,” added Shaikh Ahmed.

BIC chief executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa said the classic car show was “a wonderful addition to our off-track attractions at the Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain weekend.”

“It is fitting that it is being held during our WEC event, with the championship boasting a rich history of some of the most iconic sportscars and car brands,” Shaikh Salman added.

“The classic car show will be a popular draw amongst race-goers with the impressive collection of vintage automobiles on display.

“We look forward to enjoying the show that Bahrain Motor Club has put together for all.”

The event is set to be a major part of an off-track entertainment line-up featuring fascinating shows performed by world record-breaking stunt performers. They include the Stannage Stunt Team, Terry Grant and Lee Bowers, who have amazed crowds all over the world.

Tickets cost BD5 for adults and BD2.5 for children for the two-day weekend programme. They can be purchased online at bahraingp.com or by calling the BIC hotline 17450000.
