ACTOR Stanley Tucci’s culinary documentary series Tucci in Italy streams on Disney+ on May 19.

In five episodes, the National Geographic show is set to offer a rich narrative-driven journey that explores Italy’s gastronomic traditions, in which the actor and foodie meets with locals, chefs, artisans and more to unearth hidden gems and untold stories.

“Italy is a feast for the senses, and Tucci in Italy is an invitation to the table.” Stanley said in an interview.

“It’s about more than just the food; it’s about the people, the history, and the passion that makes Italy so special.

“I hope you’ll join me on this new adventure. I believe that eating well is inspiring, and I hope to inspire viewers to embrace the beauty and richness of Italian culture,” he added.

Known for a number of iconic roles including Nigel Kipling in The Devil Wears Prada (2006) and, most recently, as Cardinal Bellini in Conclave (2024), the 64-year-old American actor of Italian descent has been vocal about his profound love for food, as he released four cookbooks, most recently What I Ate in One Year (2024), which also serves as a biography.

Stanley also previously hosted a food documentary series titled Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy, which ran from 2021 to 2022 and won two consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series.
