Horror psychological film Clayface is out now in theatres.
Starring Tom Rhys Harries, the DC Universe (DCU) release follows Matt Hagen, a rising actor whose career is cut short after his face gets brutally disfigured by a mob boss.
He turns to a scientist in hopes to have his features restored. After getting the procedure, Matt finds his body transformed into clay. His inability to recognise himself drives him into insanity.
Clayface marks the third addition to the DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters films, following Supergirl, released earlier this year, and Superman last year.
The next instalment is set to be the Superman sequel titled Man of Tomorrow, scheduled to release next year.
The DCU franchise was created by director James Gunn, who is also known for Marvel’s Guardians of The Galaxy films, and producer Peter Safran.
It is a soft reboot of the DC Extended Universe, which ran from 2013 to 2023. A large number of projects were cancelled due to critical reviews and the lack of a cohesive creative vision.
Other anticipated projects in the making include Wonder Woman and Teen Titans.
