I loved the review and amazing photographs taken at the Ballare School of Performing Arts show featured in last week’s issue. I must also agree with reviewer Stan Szecowka’s comments about the freezing temperature inside the Cultural Hall.
Intrepid reporter Mai Al Khatib was out on an assignment and pulled into a nicely-shaded parking area next to a police station before hot-footing it off to interview a dancer. When she returned 20-minutes later, a rather stern-looking officer asked her why she had parked her car in the Chief of Police’s parking space.
It is a fact that our perception of time changes with age. The older I get, it feels as though the school years become shorter every term and it seems like only yesterday I was panicking about my January exams.
